I love the logic behind this question.
“If you pray to North Indian Gods like Shiva and Vishnu, you should learn Hindi.”
Makes sense to me. Perfectly makes sense to me. Now let’s go in detail.
So, the question claims Lord Shiva to be a North Indian. Based on what?
Because, Shiva lives in the Himalayas. So, he is a North Indian, right? Makes sense?
Where does Shiva live in the Himalayas?
In Kailash, which is in China. So, Shiva is not North Indian. He belongs to China.
Co-ordinates of Kailash: 31.0675° N, 81.3119° E. Start googling.
So, let’s all start learning Mandarin.
The question also reads that Lord Vishnu is a North Indian.
Where does Vishnu live?
See the below Picture..
Lord Vishnu and mahalakshmi are seated in the Adhiseshan serpent in a sea.
There are 10 Hindi speaking States/UT in India (UP, Uttarkhand, MP, Chattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, J&K,H.P.)
How many of those ten states have sea?
None. Not even one Hindi speaking state is bordered by sea.
Map: States where Hindi is the major language / official language of state / mother tongue of most people of those states.
So, is Vishnu South Indian? No, he’s not South Indian either. The place where he lives (Vaikundam/Vaikuntha) is believed to be more than 209,600,000 miles away.
God doesn’t need us to speak his language to make him understand. It’s perfectly alright to pray to any God in any language you want. Both Shiva and Vishnu never asked us to speak Hindi.
There are also certain politicians in Tamil Nadu who claim some Gods to be Tamils, which is also equally foolish.
Let’s not confine God to borders. God is everywhere. Let’s start thinking as whole India, instead of dividing ourselves. Let’s not forget unity in diversity. Both Unity and Diversity are important.
Please do not ask this next “Why do Tamils eat Samosa & Chappathi when they refuse to speak Hindi?”
