Once upon a time, there was a hare who was very proud of his speed. He would boast about his abilities to everyone he met, and he loved to show off his quickness by running circles around his animal friends. One day, he saw a tortoise slowly making his way along the path, and he couldn't resist the urge to tease him.
"Hey, slowpoke," the hare called out. "Why don't you race me? I bet I could beat you in no time at all!"
The tortoise looked up at the hare with his calm, steady gaze. "I accept your challenge," he said. "Let's race tomorrow at dawn."
The hare laughed to himself, thinking the race would be a complete waste of his time. The next morning, the hare bounded out of bed and took off down the path at breakneck speed. He soon grew tired, though, and decided to take a nap under a shady tree, thinking he had plenty of time to catch up to the slow-moving tortoise.
Meanwhile, the tortoise was steadily making his way along the path, never once stopping or getting distracted. When he saw the hare sleeping under the tree, he quietly passed him by and kept going. By the time the hare woke up and realized what had happened, the tortoise was far ahead of him.
The hare took off again, sprinting as fast as he could to catch up to the tortoise. But no matter how fast he ran, the tortoise seemed to always be just out of reach. The hare began to feel frustrated and exhausted, and eventually, he collapsed from exhaustion just a few feet from the finish line.
The tortoise, who had been plodding steadily along, finally arrived at the finish line and was declared the winner of the race. The hare, humbled and ashamed, realized that he had been too overconfident and had underestimated the power of steady progress.
From that day on, the hare became a much more humble and respectful animal, and he learned to appreciate the virtues of determination and consistency. The tortoise, on the other hand, continued to move forward at his own steady pace, never swayed by the opinions of others or the distractions of the world around him.
Eventhough if you are Slow and Your Steadiness Wins the Race..
