A man was driving down a country road when he saw a farmer standing in the middle of a field, surrounded by a herd of cows.

Curious, the man pulled over and walked up to the farmer.

"Excuse me, sir," said the man, "I couldn't help but notice that you're talking to your cows. What are you saying to them?"

The farmer smiled and replied, "Well, I'm just giving them a pep talk. You see, every morning I gather them all together and remind them that they're the best cows in the world. I tell them that they're strong and healthy, and that they give the best milk I've ever tasted. And you know what? They really seem to appreciate it!"

The man was impressed by the farmer's dedication to his cows, and decided to try it out himself. That night, he gathered his family together and gave them a similar pep talk, telling them how much he loved and appreciated them.

The next morning, the man woke up to find his family had left him a note saying they had gone to live on a farm.

Although the man was disappointed, he couldn't help but chuckle at the irony of the situation. From then on, he decided to stick to complimenting the cows he passed on the road instead.
